Help and answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we are asked most often, about booking, prices, our private and NHS services, travel vaccines, blood tests and visiting us. If you cannot find what you need, please get in touch.
Booking and appointments
Do I need a GP referral to book?
No. Every private service can be booked directly, with no GP referral and no registration. You choose your service, pick a time, and you are seen, often at short notice.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online through our secure booking system, call us on 01493 857888, or walk in where we have availability on the day.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes. We often have same-day availability, and walk-ins are welcome subject to space. For seasonal services we recommend booking ahead.
Can I book an appointment for my child?
Some services are available to children when a parent or guardian gives consent and is present. We will explain the eligibility for the service you need.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring photo identification where relevant, details of any medication you take, and, for travel vaccines, a record of your previous immunisations.
Prices and payment
How much do your services cost?
Prices are shown on each service page and on our prices pages. Private services are paid at the time of booking.
Why are vaccine prices shown per dose?
Vaccine prices are per dose because some vaccines need a course of more than one dose. Your total depends on the schedule recommended for you.
Is there a fee for blood tests?
Each test is priced individually, and a £30 sample collection fee applies per visit, however many tests you have on the day.
Are your prices subject to change?
Yes. We keep our pages up to date, but prices can change, so please confirm the current price when you book or at the clinic.
Private services
What private services do you offer?
Earwax removal, hay fever injections, blood tests, travel vaccinations, weight loss support, vitamin B12 and vitamin D, cryotherapy, ear piercing, health checks and more. See all services.
Do I need an appointment for earwax removal?
Booking is recommended so we can set aside time for you, and we often have same-day slots. Earwax removal starts from £50.
Can I be seen privately without registering?
Yes. There is no registration and no GP referral needed for our private services.
Travel and vaccinations
When should I book my travel vaccines?
Ideally six to eight weeks before you travel, because some vaccines need a course of doses. If your trip is sooner, we can still help, so contact us as early as you can.
Do you provide the yellow fever vaccine and certificate?
Yes. We provide the yellow fever vaccine at £85 and issue your certificate of vaccination.
Do you offer Hajj and Umrah vaccinations?
Yes. This includes the Meningitis ACWY vaccine required for entry to Saudi Arabia, with the certificate of vaccination you will need.
Do you provide antimalarial tablets?
Yes, following a short travel health consultation to choose the right antimalarial for your destination and medical history.
Blood tests
How does a blood test appointment work?
You book your test, attend for a professional blood draw, and then receive a secure digital report that includes a comment from a clinician.
How quickly will I get my results?
Rapid tests give results in 10 to 30 minutes. Most laboratory tests take 48 to 72 hours, and some specialist tests take 3 to 10 days.
Is there a charge for taking the sample?
Yes, a £30 sample collection fee applies per visit. This is charged once, no matter how many tests you have on the day.
What if the test I want is not listed?
Please contact us. We work with accredited UK laboratories and can often arrange additional tests where available.
NHS services
What NHS services do you provide?
These include Pharmacy First, NHS prescriptions, contraception, emergency contraception and the New Medicine Service. See our NHS services.
What is Pharmacy First?
Pharmacy First is a free NHS service where a pharmacist can assess and, where appropriate, treat a number of common conditions without a GP appointment.
Do I need to book NHS services in advance?
Many NHS services are available as a walk-in, and some can be booked. Our team will advise you on the service you need.
Telehealth
What is a telehealth consultation?
A secure video consultation with our team. It is useful for advice, prescription reviews and follow-ups when you cannot come in, and costs £30.
How do I book a telehealth appointment?
Book online and choose the telehealth option, then join your video consultation at the time you booked.
Is a telehealth consultation confidential?
Yes. Telehealth consultations are private and confidential, the same as an in-person visit.
