FAQS

Common questions

How soon before travel should I book?

Ideally 6–8 weeks before departure to allow time for multi-dose courses. However, even last-minute travellers can benefit — come in and our pharmacist will advise on what’s achievable given your timeline.

In most cases, yes. Our pharmacist-led consultation and vaccine administration happen in the same visit. Some vaccines require multiple doses spaced weeks apart — these will be clearly explained at your first appointment.

Yes. Pharmacyexprezz is an officially designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre (YFVC). We issue the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) that is required for entry to many countries.

Most travel vaccines are not available free on the NHS and must be obtained privately. A small number (e.g. Hepatitis A, Typhoid for certain destinations) may qualify for NHS — your GP practice can advise. We provide all travel vaccines as a private service.

Please bring your vaccination history (a yellow vaccine book if you have one), your passport, travel itinerary details, and any relevant medical history. This helps us provide the most accurate advice possible.

Yes. Antimalarial tablets are available as part of our travel health service. Our pharmacist will recommend the most appropriate option for your destination and health history.
